A February Do List
The month of LOVE is upon us and I am so excited! As I get older and maybe a little slower, I have surely come to love the month of February and winter time in Arkansas. This season we usually get snow days at home with the boys in which everything in our outside world stops for just a moment. It allows a small time for a reset before the rush of our business begins when the weather warms up.
The boys go to school now 3-4 days a week depending on may own schedule. It has been a great success for both work and our family. I do believe that when I am productive at least part time a week, I am more fulfilled and therefore able to fully focus on the time I do have with my kids, being wholehearted and intentional. Looking into their eyes without the sense of urgency to respond to a text pulling me from my kids. This is kind of deep, but the struggle is real. I have come to lean in to scheduled time…there is a time to work and a time to play, a time to have fun and a time to rest. When I allot specific time to work and home separately each is more complete and whole. I am thankful for each allotted time in my day. I know it is for purpose, my purpose and my ability to leave a wholehearted legacy in my children in which they feel nurtured, safe and loved…hence this month to remember love.
Back to February…This season beckons for heart shaped treats and thinking of others in the act of love. Finding ways to express your love and gratitude to those around you. I express love to my family by baking having a plan so our home runs smooth especially on the week days. And also because it is still a little dreary outside, this month lends itself to inside projects and of course…baking. So here’s the plan!
